through its two divisions - HABITAT furniture and accessories for the
house, office and contract - and LABWARE - technical items for
laboratories. Their common elements: plastics, design and technology.
HABITAT
Today the catalogue is
certainly unique, composed of a wide and diversified range of
industrial designer products: functional, practical, inexpensive,
durable, in fashion and of quality. The assiduity with which Kartell
pursues the research of new materials and forms permits them to produce
designer accessories that are always at the forefront. This result is
reached thanks to a constant process of innovation that deals just as
much with the search for new material as the experimentation of new
planning solutions so as to satisfy different needs and bring forth
original aesthetic suggestiveness.
Design
Of noteworthy importance
is the collaboration with internationally famous designers such as: Ron
Arad, Antonio Citterio, Michele De Lucchi, Ferruccio Laviani, Piero
Lissoni, Vico Magistretti, Enzo Mari, Alberto Meda, Paolo Rizzatto and
Philippe Starck. They have developed original and innovative ideas that
have become familiar objects.
Distribution
Kartell exports the
75% of its overall turnover in 60 countries. In addition to more than
4000 sales points, Kartell can count now on 16 Kartell Flagships Shops
(independent) and 240 Kartell Shops (shop in shop) characterised by a
great impact Kartell image, easy to recognise in every part of the
world thanks to its coherence.
LABWARE
Labware
division is a leader in the production of items in plastics, reusable
and disposable for the laboratory, the research and the industry
world-wide. The use of first level materials make the use of plastic as
valid alternative to glass, both for economicity and for quality.
MUSEUM
tradition and culture of design
A
solid reality therefore that has been built over fifty years of
experience in the sector of design accessories in plastic materials. In
fifty years company philosophy has always kept faith in itself and the
values that are shared by their classic products, products that have to
date made Kartell famous in the history of Italian and international
design. The opening of the company museum (KartellMuseo) bears witness
to a flourishing and intense past and the desire to ensure the
participation of the international public in its deeper meaning (thanks
to the ad hoc multimedia archive project where information will be
found on over 700 ranges of products).
